Take part in Building Lifelong Learning Systems Conference hosted by ETF and UNESCO

The European Training Foundation presents the upcoming online event, organised jointly with UNESCO. Entitled ‘Building lifelong learning systems: skills for green and inclusive societies in the digital era’, is taking place 21 to 25 June 2021.

The conference, which is organised with the collaboration of EBRD, ILO and UNICEF, has a double objective: to create a forum for joint reflection on national and international experience in transforming education and training systems into lifelong learning, and to confirm priorities for future cooperation in the area of human capital development against the backdrop of global developments and challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

WorldSkills Champion Anna Prokopenya will join conference session: The Road Ahead: Accelerating System Change on 25 June 7:50 to 8:50 GMT.

This session aims to engage participants to the International Conference on Building Lifelong Learning Systems in a discussion of the global TVET agenda, with special reference to the UNESCO TVET Strategy. Panellists will represent the views of a diversity of stakeholders on key trends affecting TVET systems on the long term, and how those systems can adapt and foster change. This will lead to a reflection on strategic priorities for UNESCO and how the organization can position itself vis-a-vis other development partners intervening in skills development, in European Training Foundation partner countries and beyond. Outcomes of this session will enrich the final evaluation of the 2016-2021 Strategy and the next strategy document.
