May 2026

  1. Hong Kong Junior Skills Competition 2026

    The Hong Kong Junior Skills Competition (HKJSC) runs every two years. After launching in 2022, the second edition was conducted in 2024, and will hold its third in 2026. Nine skills competitions will be offered including :

    3D Digital Game Art
    Autonomous Mobile Robotics
    Car Painting
    Fashion Technology
    Graphic Design Technology
    Hotel Reception
    Joinery
    Mobile Applications Development
    Unmanned Aerial Systems

    All local secondary schools are invited to nominate their students to participate in the skills competitions to stretch their potentials to the full. Participating students will be provided a series of briefing and training which will equip them with the relevant knowledge and skills to better prepare themselves for the competition and develop their interests from there.

  2. Taitaja2026 Keski-Uusimaa - Finnish National Skills Competition

    18-21 May 2026

    Tuusula, Finland

    Around 50 skills, over 400 competitors and tens of thousands of visitors together create Taitaja, the biggest educational event in Finland. In 2026, the event is organised by Keuda, Vocational Education and Training Institute, together with Skills Finland and their partners. Taitaja aims to promote vocational education, improve connections between vocational schools and companies, and increase the awareness of vocational education and professional skills. The event is free of charge and open for public.

  3. Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) 2026

    28-29 May 2026

    Enercare Centre, Toronto, Canada

    SCNC is the only national, multi-trade and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country. Each year, more than 550 competitors from all regions of Canada come to SCNC to participate in over 40 skilled trade and technology competitions. By providing a forum where Canadians can compete at the national level, SCNC provides hands-on work experience related to skilled trade and technology careers, on top of being visited by thousands of young students!

    At SCNC, thousands of students visit the competition floor and discover the exciting and rewarding careers that are available in the skilled trades and technologies through interactive Try-A-Trade® and Technology activities, exhibitor booths, and engagement with industry professionals.

  4. Skills Forum @ World Plumbing Conference 2026

    Over the three days of World Plumbing Conference 2026, Skills Forum participants will train across a range of practical tasks in preparation for the upcoming WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 Plumbing and Heating competition.   5. WorldSkills Australia 2026 Global Skills Challenge

    The Global Skills Challenge will be the biggest international skills excellence event to be held in Australia in 2026. It is important to note that the event will be held across 3 TAFE NSW Campuses in Wollongong NSW.
    The 2026 Global Skills Challenge is a simulated international competition, an important part of the Australian Skillaroos training in the lead up to the 48th WorldSkills International Competition being held in Shanghai, China and will attempt to replicate the International Competition for 35 Skills with the competition held over 4 days using CIS for marking & assessment ahead of WSC2026 Shanghai.

  1. Taitaja & Abilympics Helsinki 2027

    Two competitions under one roof: the Finnish national skills competition Taitaja and the international skills competition Abilympics for professionals with special needs. Together, they form Skills Games - a major event featuring up to 80 skills. Skills Games highlights the potential of vocational professionals requiring special support and provides young people with a broad view of the diverse opportunities in vocational education. The competition event is organised by Skills Finland and Omnia, the Joint Authority of Education in the Espoo region, together with 20 vocational institutes in Finland. The event is free of charge and open for public.

    SwissSkills 2027, the fifth Swiss National Skills Championships, will take place at BERNEXPO in Bern from September 14 to 18, 2027! For five days, we’ll celebrate the diversity and excellence of Swiss vocational training, with over 1,000 young professionals showcasing their skills. Featuring 150 trades and 95 competitions, the event will bring together Switzerland's best apprentices and recent graduates to compete for the title of Swiss Champion. The top performers will qualify for WorldSkills 2028 in Aichi.

    EuroSkills is the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event in Europe. Held every two years, EuroSkills sees hundreds of young people from 34 countries across Europe come together to compete for the chance to become the Best in Europe in their chosen skill or profession.
    There are competitions and demonstrations in around 45 skills, grouped into six industry sectors: Construction and Building Technology, Creative Arts and Fashion, Information and Communication Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering Technology, Service Industry, and Transportation and Logistics.
    EuroSkills Geneva 2029 will be a true showcase of professional excellence, highlighting the passion, expertise and commitment of Europe’s next generation.
