Caroline had barely held a screwdriver when she first started on her Aircraft Maintenance course – now she’s a WorldSkills Champion working as a helicopter technician.

Once she got into her chosen skills she realized that she had a natural talent for it and she worked hard to learn everything about helicopters, “Ambition and determination got me where I am today working for Patria Helicopters on the Black Hawk helicopters,” she said. Now she has a mission to help get more women working in these traditionally male-dominated fields.

“WorldSkills has definitely changed my life. It allows young people to test their abilities beyond what they can imagine, and challenges all of us to become the best at what we do regardless of where you come from.”
