A knowledge of high voltage power has brought success to Tjihimise and secured him a job with his country’s leading electricity provider.

In his spare time Tjihimise mentors in schools to share his story and motivate the young people while trying to smash the stereotypes associated with vocational skills, “I want to change the negative social stigmas associated with TVET and to help improve the world through the power of skills. I passionately believe that every person deserves an opportunity to develop themselves to their maximum potential.”

Tjihimise says WorldSkills changed his life in many ways, “More than anything the networking is one of the greatest necessities to stay ahead and I was lucky to be surrounded by the best of the best from all over the globe.”
