At The Skills Show in Birmingham, UK from 14-16 November 2013 visitors will have an interactive experience like no other. At the show, the EON Reality workshop will premier new training applications and interactive media. Experts have teamed up with 3D developers to create engaging virtual 3D learning tools that could be the future of enhanced skilled trades and technology training.

Visitors will be able to visualize what it’s like to use those skills in the "real world" by applying them in a virtual job environment. The skills that this technology will feature include Aircraft Maintenance, Floristry, Plumbing and Heating and the woodworking skills (Carpentry, Cabinetmaking, Joinery).

EON Reality workshops are not the only way technology is being used to enhance the visitors experience at The Skills Show. Visitors will get a wristband with a barcode upon entry. By swiping the barcode on the wristband in the areas that they enjoy, they can then access relevant personalized guidance online. Visitors can also use the apps that are available for download from The Skills Show’s "My Skills Content & Experience" website to ensure they maximize their time at the event.

At the next WorldSkills event, there will be more technology-based tools that will enhance the visitor experience both at and after the event.
