Kazan to host WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Competition Preparation Week

On 21-27 January 2019, WorldSkills Competition Preparation Week 2019 (CPW2019) will start in Kazan.

About 600 people from more than 60 Member countries and regions will take part in the week long activities. Competition Preparation Week is a key element in the planning for the WorldSkills Competition, as WorldSkills Champions, Official and Technical Delegates, Skill Management Teams, Team Leaders, and partners, attend to advance plans for the upcoming WorldSkills Competition.

In addition to planning meetings to finalize the logistical requirements of each of the 56 skills hosted at WorldSkills Kazan 2019, attendees will visit the Competition Venue, Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, to get acquainted with the infrastructure and services. Their visit will include a trip to WorldSkills Village, official home of the Competitors and Experts during the event.

A highlight of the week is the launch of One School One Country, an education programme that pairs international teams with local schools. During One School One Country international Competitors will learn more about Russian culture and customs, and local students will gain insight into skilled career options. Also, WorldSkills Workshops will be conducted in educational institutions across Tatarstan.

A wide range of events including the official start of the countdown clock in central Kazan and a WorldSkills Board meeting will be hosted during this week.
