Global Partners with a global industry perspective

Work has begun with our three newest Global Partners.

The formal introductions have been made at this year’s General Assembly -  and now it’s time to get down to work with our three newest Global Partners.

AWS Educate is part of Amazon Web Services. The program provides content and tools to hundreds of thousands of students and their teachers in more than 200 countries and territories, introducing them to cloud computing and the possibility of a career in this fast-growing field.

Cloud computing is proving vital for remote connections during COVID-19, with several Members already harnessing its power, along with WorldSkills International.

Epic Games, Inc., our second new partner, is probably best known for Fortnite, Rocket League and the Gears of War video games, but it has also produces the Unreal Engine.

Unreal Engine, along with Epic's other cutting edge tools used by the world’s top developers, is available as a free download for classroom computers, students and faculty interested in creating games, real-time interactive experiences and technical simulations,

With computer based skills playing an ever increasing role in WorldSkills Competitions, the addition of Unreal Engine adds an essential dimension to our work.

The newest Global Partner is John Bean, a long-established name with some very new ideas. The original John Bean was a retired inventor from California who developed the world’s first wheel aligner in 1904.

John Bean nowadays uses 3D technology in its latest garage equipment, supporting Automobile Technology, ensuring the skill and its Competitors are at the very front of innovation in this field.

All three new Global Partners reflect our drive to keep WorldSkills relevant in a changing world of new industries and fast evolving jobs and professions.

Like all our Global Partners they share our passion for vocational training and education and promoting the value of skills to industry, education, government and policymakers.
